NSW:Sea of emotions as warship farewelled

Family and friends have farewelled their loved ones onboard HMAS Melbourne which has
left for a six month mission in the Gulf.

The ship will conduct maritime security operations in the Gulf and counter-piracy operations
off the Horn of Africa.

Commander MICHAEL HARRIS says the 238 men and women on HMAS Melbourne are ready for
the job and will be well supported while they're away from their families.
