COLUMBIA IN AA TITLE GAME.(SPORTS)(Correction notice)

At the start of their season, Columbia's baseball players made a pact that they wouldn't be satisfied with winning the Suburban Council's Gold Division, a Section II title or a even a Central Region crown. They wanted to win the Class AA state championship.

The Blue Devils will get that chance after rallying Tuesday to beat Baldwinsville 4-2 in a game delayed two hours by a hailstorm at PNC Stadium in Syracuse.

Columbia's 24th victory of the season established a school record and gave longtime coach George Czerno the 321st win of his career.
