Clerk charged in convenience store theft
A Putnam County convenience store clerk forgot to turn off or takeout the security camera videotape before or after he and fouraccomplices robbed his employer, police said.
The videotape shows Chad Shamblin, 20, with two unidentified menand two unidentified women taking about $900 worth of items from theU.S. 33 Speedway about 2:20 a.m. Monday, Chief Deputy John Dailey ofthe Putnam County Sheriff's Department said.
The group took 195 packs of cigarettes, $47 worth of lotterytickets and an 18-pack of Coors Light before leaving the storevacant, Dailey said.
